Propaganda WW1

Propaganda is a kind of biased communication designed to influence people’s thoughts and actions

Prior to the civil war people said, "The United States are", and after the civil war people said, "The United States is".

In the case of U.S. Supreme Court opinions, we apparently became an ‘is’ somewhat gradually, between 1840 and 1910. And the effect of the Civil War (or at least its immediate aftermath) was apparently to delay the change, not to accelerate it.
A U-boat crew machine-gunning helpless survivors of the Lusitania was clearly meant as propaganda. In fact, U-boats seldom lingered after an attack

Though the face of media throughout the world has been experiencing dramatic changes, it is clear that propaganda has been and will go on to have a significant effect on people and their thoughts about war. Old propaganda techniques, instead of being discarded, have rather been given a makeover to fit the existing demands today. Ppropaganda in the future is likely going to be based on the same principles and ideals that Hitler created during World War I, yet they will be changed to fit in with the changing times.
